Sitting here at 4:15am (CST) after trying since 2:30am to go back to sleep and finally giving up, yet again... Wondering who else is out there this morning, and most mornings at this time?
@kmakm it’s such a good feeling and helps so much mentally. My boss just texted me and there was a study that said structured exercise straight after chemo (if u can do it) can target the cancer cells more. Not that I should have any as everything was clear and I’m putting myself through this as a precautionary thing - no regrets!!
@kmakm - that’s ok. On the upside I managed to go for a walk this morning and managed to run 1/2 of it which is the first time since my surgery. Felt really good.
@"Kiwi Angel" Yes, good idea to have him on standby. I reacted to the Docetaxel so was given Phenergan. I was very dopey & unsteady in my feet when I'd finished and could not have walked or driven home.
Excellent. I just ask as with my first treatment, they had to give me anti-nausea drugs, which by the time the cap came off, I couldn't walk straight. And do call him if you need him - it might be easy but it is even easier with someone in your corner.
@Sister - my husband would leave work early and come get me if I need him - he has offered to come for the whole day but no point in him sitting there for hours. Luckily the chemo place is literally a 5 minute walk from my apartment ;-)
