Recurrence
I were first diagnosed in 2011 and had lumpectomy followed by chemo and radiation I then had a local recurrence in 2015 and had a double masectomy and reconstruction followed by more chemo and then daily letrozole tablet I have just been diagnosed with another local recurrence in my reconstructed breast I have had surgery to remove the lump and are awaiting the results. I am wandering what sort of treatment I will have as I have been told different things .It sounds crazy but I almost want more chemo as cancer has returned twice with chemo and it scares me to think what could happen if I don't have chemo.

- I recieved my pathology results 3cm of grade 1 cancer was removed with clear margins so no more surgery wich was great news but given that it is a second reacurrence I'm having 6months of chemo followed by 5 weeks of radiation apparently after a masectomy and reconstruction they can repeat radiation because it's new tissue.
I start CMF chemo tomorrow . - @0608hev lovely to hear from you, please do let us know how your meeting goes, what your pathology is and your treatment. Having been here twice, I can't imagine another, the thing is we just do don't we? we deal with things at hand because we have to. I know how much strength it takes physically and mentally on any subsequent diagnosis, so do know, you do have support here...nobody gets it the way we do and in the depths the way we do. Hugs M xo
- All the best for Tuesday @0608hev. As @Zoffiel and @Kiwi Angel say meandering happens. It is truly a blessing to meander amongst women and men of great courage and experience. We come and sit, stand, fall, cry, vent, seek, rest, laugh, play, check in, respect and most of all accept who we are, where we are and stand beside to hold gently. The cause of us being here is one word and it is a scary place to start from. Be encouraged @0608hev there are people here for you.
- Thank you ladies for all your words of encouragement. I were very nervous to join here but am now glad I have as hearing everyone elses journeys realy makes me feel not so alone.
I go back to see my surgeon with my pathology results on Tuesday the 12th sofinfers crossed for good news and hopefully a treatment plan . - @Zoffiel we r bad for meandering on here ;)

- @melclarity, @"Kiwi Angel". I certainly didn't sign up for this &%$$#@ disease! Once was bad enough. Second time...???!!! Nothing you can do to stop it. Just get on with your life. Make the best of life.
- @melclarity as like most women no history in my family. The only blessing is that I have to have a cancer it was “outside” the body and can be cut off and the support for breast cancer is amazing.
