In an Unrelenting Journey....lets see whats the smallest thing that brightens your day?
I just wanted to shout out to everyone as we are all at different stages in this journey and I guess as Im recovering from surgery I'm thinking of all of you. Thought it would be great for us all..to share something good that we're grateful for in this moment...it's hard!!! Cant be positive all the time and the journey can be unrelenting and we feel badgered to the point of breaking and no return. But as I sit here, and I look back at my journey the past 6 years, I have tears rolling down my cheeks thinking WOW I went through all that, and sometimes you can't breathe when you remember. It is hard to look forward with any certainty or peace. We feel every emotion possible and sometimes feel we're not entitled to. One word that comes to mind thinking of everyone is "COURAGE" for all of you at the beginning, doubting there is anyway you can rise to the challenge. Take one hell of a deep breath..and I promise you, you absolutely will and even in times where you felt you couldnt and I had plenty...but you will RISE every single time.
So what is the smallest thing that brightens or lifts your day?
Mine is...Im sitting overlooking my garden, sipping Green Tea and the sun is shining, soft music playing and Im just peaceful in this moment. I'm grateful to just sit here, complete simplicity.
Hugs Everyone Melinda xoxo

- iserbrownMember@Brenda5 just read your post and you hinted that some days are not so good! I do hope you got a lot of benefit out of Conference; they can be hard work and very beneficial!
Take care xx - melclarityMemberHey Wendy! I love hearing about these wonderful husbands! It is something I definitely missed through this journey...so its so incredibly lovely to hear! Interesting isnt it something as simple as a child smiling at you can bring you to be in just that moment! Friends and family well youve had a great week! Hugs xo
- wendy_h67MemberMy husband always gets me through each chemo session . He is my rock. He took me out to have coffee the other day when I was feeling a bit down and not feeling like being there. As I was sitting in the coffee shop I noticed a small child sitting near us who just kept smiling at me .she had such a lovely smile, I soon snaped out of the gloom I was feeling and had to smile too. It is definitely the little thing that get us through. I enjoyed lunch with friends last week and when my daughter in law asked if I liked to come for baked dinner on Sunday night, I think life is pretty good.
- melclarityMember@Brenda5 awww nah I think you're human! Glad youre enjoying the Summit too! I love nature so I know exactly how you feel, how beautiful! Love it! Simple, simple, simple...I think so too, I strip it all back and I just find more peace in those simple things now, doesnt take much to make me happy at all! Right on...no rush at all...xo
- Brenda5MemberI have been barely functioning before the Bnca summit few days I have been on. Ha ha, you didn't think I had a care in the world the way I post but I am a bit of a fraud and things do get me down. The summit has been great but even then one session got a bit much for me and I excused myself and hastened back to my room for a cuppa. Dragging my feet back to the session, I came upon a honeyeater bird just sitting in a bush beside me and he hadn't noticed me and I got a really good close look at his beauty. Even as I passed he didn't bother flying away an it just gave my heart joy to have such a lovely unexpected nature encounter. My regime is, keep it simple, don't look too far ahead and just evolve into the new me, there's no rush. <3
- melclarityMember@Unicornkisses sounds like a great day! So happy for you...and that's the whole point isnt it? Inspite of just starting, you were able to enjoy the moment. Tai chi is something ive always wanted to do! Its on my list! Hugs xo
- UnicornkissesMemberToday I looked forward to my TaiChi class with a wonderful bunch of people. Today I actually felt good for the first time in two weeks, it was such an exhilarating feeling. I even managed to live in the moment most of the day enjoying the feeling of "well". Today I felt I could get through this, even though I am only starting the ordeal.
- iserbrownMember@"Ally Jay" a lady after my own heart. I always have a knitting project on the go and carry knitting in my handbag. Most that I know that given up on knitting or they are cleaning out Mum's stuff I end up with patterns and wool. I have oodles of wool waiting for me to get into. Need to finish a couple of projects before I start the next one.
Click clack! Take care xx
