- hahaha i can SO feel for her, @sister, which is why I really liked this one! :blush: .... GOD KNOWS how often it happens with me - sometimes even just with my toaster!! (It is something to do with home made bread in the toaster!)
I am tempted to remove the battery from the smoke alarm but that would be irresponsible! .... So I stand there like a bloody preying mantis, flapping a t-towel at the bloody alarm, trying to shut the fucking thing up!!! There was only a 'whisp' of smoke too!! LOL - @arpie That one reminded me of my Mum. Whenever she cooked lamb chops, the smoke alarm would go off. One evening it happened, and while she was madly flapping a tea towel around, there was a loud knock on the front door. She went to answer it only to find a bunch of burly firemen there. No idea how they knew the alarm was going off but they pressed the button for her so it stopped.
