Chest looking like it has caved after double mastectomy

hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this?

for the last few days I have been feeling a "tugging" sore feeling over my mastectomy scar (double mastectomy 18 months ago, no chemo or radio). I checked the chest and I have an area beneath the scar on the chest wall that looks to have sunken. Any ideas what this could be?
  • You can get chording scar tissue in the chest wall too so maybe it has snapped. Do you feel like you have better movement now? I agree though a check up is the best idea.
  • Hi and thank you for your response. I will definitely make an appointment for the doctor.
  • Hi a trip to the GP or if you're due for review with Specialist. We can only guess! Have you over exerted lately that has the pec muscle working overtime. It could be that the swelling has finally subsided.
    Take care
  • Thanks for your advice :). The sunken appearance has happened over the last week and has happened with the pain.
  • Hi

The tugging feeling may well just be scar tissue, that can go on for some time. Can't help with the cavity - how big is it? It may be fluid that has finally dispersed or something else that has settled. If in doubt, your surgeon or oncologist can probably ease any concerns quickly.
