Palbociclib Side effects back
That didn’t take long to have all the side effects back. i sure enjoyed the break maybe too much did heaps and had lots happening Just finished my 21 days and it's been like i didn’t get a break at all, mind you day 5 in and caught the flu and haven’t been able to shake it. The worst congestion and cough ever which doesn’t help the sore throat etc that I usually have with palbo. The itch is back. The snake skin and all the other joint aches from AI are intensified and about the only thing that hasn’t gotten bad yet is the lethargy (give it time). The alternative is not seeing any of the grandkids make me a great-granny.
See the clinic this week. Had my dates out thought it was next week just as well they send me a text reminder. Its the gynaecologist next week.
I’m going to see about a dose reduction to 100mg instead of the 125mg of Palbo

I have my op date for my gallbladder removal. 26th of May.
i come off my Palbociclib on the 9th may see the oncologist on the 6th June. As to when to restart it.
I get worried coming off it because it has been working so well for me. I stay on the anastrozole the whole time. Which is better than nothing Ass side note had another fall this time battered my ribs winded my self a beauty My own fault should know better could have been worse the teenage grandson slowed the fall down Now Doc wants me to start the bone strengthening injections Putting it off till I get through everything else on my schedule It never stops lost count of the appointments I’ve got coming up and still got to add a couple more to the mix Stretching the bone scan out as far as I’m allowed got ti fit dentist in there somewhere too I get tired thinking about it all Oh well we do what we have to do. - cranky_grannyMember
Well my latest update
The things I blamed on the Mets medication.
It appears that the sudden change of side effects from my meds was not the meds but my cheeky gallstone having grown to 2.2 cm x 2cm. never going to pass down a 4mm duct. It does like to block the duct which explains the acid reflux being so much worse the constant nausea the pain between my shoulder blades oh and dont get me started on the runs.
Well that's now going to get sorted I'm on a 90 day list to have the gallbladder removed. Hopefully things will go back to just dealing with my known side effects which were tolerable and its been working.
fingers crossed I get in by the 90 days. cant afford the loss of $ going past June.

Bummer about those side effects cranky_granny it sounds horrible & painful :( - Great that you are on the 'short list' for surgery! I hope it is done sooner than later xx. Take care & hope you have a good recovery once it is done xx
- cranky_grannyMember@Anne94. I mostly work Mondays only now. At ither times that I choose. After 25 years I can get away with it for now.

@Anne94 I had pulled over to make the call and then put it in wrong. Most of my appointments are either Wednesday or Friday when possible I try not to work on those days. And Never on a Friday - cranky_grannyMemberIts interesting as the hip pain improves Im starting to feel the other parts that took a jolt. The older I get the longer it takes to get over silly mishaps
- samwise68MemberHi @cranky_granny,
sorry to hear about your fall. Hopefully the medication will take care of the pain. Rest up and look after yourself. - Anne94MemberOh @cranky_granny,
you are having a time of it!!! Thank goodness there are no breaks just bruising. Also, the hospital or doctors are pretty good at sending text reminders for appts. When they do, I add them straight to the calendar on my phone and put a reminder on that as well. If it helps, I always make my appts for Tuesdays - I never work on Tuesdays so its easier for me to book everything on a Tuesday.
Rest up and take care
Anne - Julez1958MemberHi @cranky_granny
Good that you didn’t break anything but still tough.
Get plenty of rest and look after yourself.
Take the pain meds.
I recently subscribed to Netflix and have found it great for those days I am fatigued and want to take it slowly. - cranky_grannyMember@arpie they sent me home with some good pain killers only taking it a night so I don't wake up while tossing in my sleep
Dr said the fall will have aggravated the arthritis as well
