went back to specialist today and she did remove all cancer from breast there was even some DCIS there but she removed this as well. Need to see an oncologist next week to see if its worth doing chemo, will def have radiotherapy but my specialist seems to think that the outcome is good with radiotherapy even under the arm and chemo would only add another 1% to survival rate. but we will see what the oncologist says.
has anyone had the same outcome?.
Oh and now after surgery it turns out I have IDC not ILC like the biopsy showed and it is still stage 2.
Its hard to keep thinking positive and I love my specialist but hate going to the building. xx

Been to see oncologist and do not need chemo but will have radiotherapy and hormone blockers Letrozole and 6 monthly Zoledronic acid for the bones. Has anyone else had this?

@RenataW I have three monthly Zoledronic acid. Initially I felt like I had the flu for a couple days after treatment. My Vit D levels were good but my Onco suggested I topped up my calcium, which I did. The next Zoledronic was entirely different. No pain at all.

    Hi @RenataW
I've just started on Letrozole and have already had my first Zometa infusion too (zoledronic acid).
The infusion was actually OK - as @Blossom1961 noted, I too felt a little achey for the next few days but thing really scary.
My first 2 weeks on Letrozole were challenging. The joint aches got me in a big way - wrists, knees and ankles. Thankfully this has subsided now and it's now more annoying than anything. Hoping it stays this way.
    Absolute best wishes to you,
    Kelly
