Has anyone got esophogitis from breast radiation? I’m thinking it could be what I have.

Hope your symptoms resolved LibbyA. I haven’t been on the forum for a while so only just saw this. My main issue post radiation was lymthodema which I managed well with daily massage. However, I recently had shoulder surgery on my BC side and being in a sling I haven’t been able to do the massage and am having lymthodema problems now. However, I’m also looking at the possibility that the radiation has caused RFS (radiation fibrosis syndrome) as I’ve had 3 tendons detached without any known trauma. I think there is more information needed on post radiation problems. We can’t avoid the radiation but forewarned is forearmed. Perhaps I could have changed my exercise regime had I known?2

@LibbyA though it was a while ago now over 7 years actually I had my regular top n tail to check everything out it was noted that there was scarring on my esophagus and probable cause splash over radiation which The disinterested rads oncologist I had at time of treatment blatantly told me at the only appointment I had with him during treatment that rads didn’t give me the side effects/ symptoms I was having during treatment. I did the DBIH rads. At first I was okay then I started to come away from treatment with hiccups a Sore throat and indigestion. So go figure. Who's right and who’s wrong depends on what specialist you speak to.Just another gift the cancer ride gives us
hope you resolve the problem easily
antacids are my best friend now as well as the head of my bed being raised0
