    Just to reassure you, your email address is not public and is part of your profile.
    I have just noted that there is a box you tick if you want others to see your email, but you have not ticked this box.

    I cannot see that box you say to tick re email address ... I am not too computer literate, though.
    I went into account options and edit profile then clicked at the top of that page.  The profile came up but nothing would change.
