So, this time next week I would have completed 15km in the Kokoda Challenge.
Walked 9.1km with 2 other team memebrs on Friday then ran 5km at parkrun on Saturday.
Who said cancer & its treatment would rule my life??

The day is nearly upon me..... so super excited to be doing this.. 2 more sleeps, my hiking poles, hiking boots & hydration backpack are at the ready.... energy/protein snacks will be prepared tonight.
Wish me luck ladies, its 15km of pretty 'brutal' terrain - though my son calls the 1000 steps brutal I figure they probably wont be too hard for me if I can do 88 floors on a stepper,3 -
You don’t need our luck @Cate64 - you are amazing!!! You’ve got this - go Kate!!!! xx0

I did it i did it!!!!! OMG though the hills were horrendous & my feet sore but I kept going, I finished.
At the 10km check in point my feet started to hurt, was the end of my 2 week Xeloda cycle on Friday, so they were at their worst for it but I just told myself... suck it up princess this is nothing compared to what our diggers went thru on the real Kokoda track.... Pictures to come
