There have been a number of discussions this week shared from our newly diagnosed members. Thank you to everyone for your support in helping these members feel welcomed and supported. Here are some of those conversations :
Pet ownership, or just being in the presence of a companion animal,
is associated with health benefits, including improvements in mental, social,
and physiologic health status - (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19185195)
A wonderful discussion was created from @Brenda5 - What pets do you have? We would love to hear about your little furry friends.
BreaCan - An Introduction to Wellness – its Benefits in Illness and in Health. Read more here.
For Benefit Medicines. Read more here.
Thank you @deanne for sharing one of your favorite quotes. To read more inspiring quotes from our members and to add your own click here.

Don't underestimate scaly fishy pets either. Many of my friends on disability pensions find a tank of little fish very calming.0

@Brenda5, I was trying to find the right word to use . You are absolutely correct, maybe some members have fish, snakes or even lizards as pets. We want to hear about ALL of them . @InkPetal it's just the best! @primek that whole thread has so many incredible quotes. @brightspace0
