Community highlights

Every week we have so much variety in the posts being shared on the online network.  These can include questions about treatments, updates on how things are going, and celebrating milestones. Here are some good conversations you might have missed:
@socoda earned the 500 Likes badge and the 1000 Comments badge.
@Tracey B earned the 100 Awesomes badge.
@primek earned the 250 Awesomes badge.

Congratulations, ladies, and thank you for your wonderful contributions to this community.

I'm not sure what's in the water this week or if there was a full moon, but there have been some misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Dissent, disagreement, and conflict are okay, but please remember to treat everyone with respect and consider your impact on others when making a contribution. Many members here are going through a difficult time and everyone has good and bad days. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt. You may not see everything you like and it's okay to keep on scrolling and find a more pleasant or agreeable conversation. Read our community guidelines here.

BCNA has been awarded one of two headline charity partner positions for the 2017 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. Held on Sunday 17 September 2017, the event gives people the opportunity to run or walk across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge to support Australians affected by breast cancer. Participants can choose from either a 3.5km family fun run, the 10km course, or the half or full marathon. For more information, to register, and fundraise in support of BCNA, click here. Or join @Cate64's team!

The Pink Bun campaign is underway! 100% of the sale of Pink Buns will be donated to BCNA to support women and men affected by breast cancer. I just had half of one (they're pretty big so share the love) and they're delicious. Say thank you to your local Bakers Delight for their ongoing generosity and support. Share your pink bun pictures using the hashtag #givebreastcancerthefingerbun.

Everyone, have a pleasant weekend!
