I am on a bit of a runaway train at the moment. :)I saw my oncologist yesterday, I'm due to have my first chemo on 19 July and start a new job on 29 July. Hopefully, I won't get too many side effects.
Hello all, I am about to have my 3rd round of TC in 2 days time. I noticed that 4 of my fingers have darken a bit. During the last 2 sessions, I did have my fingers painted with black nail polish. Would anyone know the main purpose of black nail polish, is it for blocking out UV rays during summer? Since it's winter now…
Hi all. How many weeks/months post chemo and/or radiotherapy will our immune system be weakened? I’m only asking because a work colleague has shingles. My understanding is 21-28 days? But I’ve read elsewhere 6 months. thanks
Hi...I finished chemo 9 weeks ago now but still have very painful hands and feet. I noticed it after approximately 6 taxol, however i went on to complete all 12. I don't think its peripheral neuropathy as there's no numbess, it feels more like arthritis? I struggle to open things and its painful to walk. My oncologist says…
This was shared to me and made very interesting reading. Being told that "chemo brain" was vastly exaggerated by patients, and that if at all it existed, it would soon resolve after active chemo, is put in perspective. My brain certainly doesn't have a clue as to what my oncologist states, it still stays badly affected.…
