Has anyone had gene testing such as Prosigna and how has it guided you in treatment decisions? How have you judged a low risk of recurrence and would you decline any element of common approaches to treatment (chemo, radiation, endocrine therapy?) as a result. Discussion on this site suggests to me that all of the hormonal…
Highly recommend Tracey Scone Wig Library, Darlinghurst, Sydney
In anticipation of upcoming chemo, I visited the Tracey Scone Wig Library yesterday. It's behind St Vincent's hospital in Darlinghurst, in a sweet terrace house. The library is not open every day and you need to make an appointment. All details on the link. There is a large choice of wigs, styles and colours. Gloria and…
Swings and Roundabouts
Good Morning All, I’m week 2 of my second round of fortnightly AC. The first fortnight when I reported in to my Oncologist and she asked “How have you been” I said “Surprisingly good, constipation in first week and felt queasy most afternoons and evenings, but not too bad.” Wait til she asks next week, Answers going to be,…
Hi all, has anyone had an iron deficiency post chemo/radio and whilst on hormones treatment. I have not had my period in over 12 months (I’m 42) and find it strange to have mild iron deficiency... especially when my diet has not changed. GP wants me to take iron tablets for 2 months. Oncologist wants to see me... thanks

Nearly done with chemo but trouble with dry scalp after hair loss
I am almost at the end of my 6 months of chemo. Lost my hair after a month and looking forward to some regrowth soon. However, I have bad dry scalp at the moment and was hoping for some suggestions of natural treatment.
Well second chemo has not been as kind as chemo 1 but that was not surprise. Having a few different issues this time. I knew there would be bone pain but not sure what level is OK and what isn't. Panadol is keeping it under control but I'm not doing much. Any words of wisdom. Strange to not really know what 'normal'…
Swollen parotid gland after chemo for bc
Hi, this is my first time starting a discussion here, I have done a search and can’t find any relevant info so thought I’d ask you wonderful people. I was diagnosed last month with bc and have had 2 rounds of chemo so far. Both times I have developed a swollen parotid/salivary gland 2-3 days post chemo just on one side and…
So it’s been 2 weeks to the day since my first chemo treatment. On Monday I noticed my hair has started to fall out and 2 days on and more and more hair is falling out. I was at my local shopping center today and I was going to get my head shaved but I found myself over whelmed and chicken out. Any tips on when or where I…
