Hot flush and nausea

I have done the search thing here with no result. Surely I am not the only one. Every time I get a hot flush I feel nauseous. Not enough to puke, just churningstomach and feel feverish (but I don’t have a high temp). I also feel like this anytime my body feels overheated. I certainly didn’t feel like this pre BC. I am not on hormone tablets. Herceptin finished four months ago. By logical thinking I should be improving. My doctor just says hmmmm. Anybody else or am I just weird? Maybe I shouldn’t have asked that last question!
  • Yes! Sorry @kezmusc but I am so glad the hot flushes made you sick. Not really, but it makes me feel a little less weird. Only a little cause I read your posts and sometimes I wonder 😆
  • Absolutely @Blossom1961,

For about 18 months everytime I had a hot flush it would make me sick.  On or off hormone therapy and up to 30 times a day. Absolutely disgusting.  It was that bad I was almost in tears when I could feel them coming.  Yeeha to medically induced atomic menopause.
You're not weird at all and nobody tells you just how bad it can be.  "Oh well dear, just dress in layers"  phooey.
  • I've had a couple of 'wonky' days where I wasn't quite nauseous but definitely wasn't 'right' in the tummy.  I just felt 'off'.

I've had a few hot flushes just recently too - about 6 months+ into Arimidex.  Is it related to the tablets?  I don't know.  Not pleasant tho!

I hope it will pass for you soon.  xx
  • Hi @Blossom1961 - don't you just love being a woman !!!!  If you can find a Dr of Chinese Medicine who also does acupuncture he/she will be able to help you with that.
  • LOL on the wierd part but maybe a nicer description is quirky. I am not sure I have the nausea during flushes although just the flush is challenging enough. I used to get a bit panicky with with one but now I just say to myself be patient, it will pass. The nausea could be partly worry for you. I get it any time I eat anything which is jolly annoying. I found ginger travel calm tabs, peppermint tabs or good old
    Rennies help it pass.
