from the activity board... Jenv feeling weird....
@Jenv asked:
Does anyone feel weird, or felt weird pre chemo?....since w'end have felt just really strange like body wants to go to shut down mode...waiting one more week to start chemo. Its like when you get low blood sugar and you feel like you going to drop. Anxiety maybe, exacerbated by the breathlessness...fine if I'm just sitting (lucky i like knitting, reading and crosswords) soon as move and get active struggle to breath...but the weird stuff..ummm don't know.

- socodaMemberHi @Jenv, like iserbrown says inner and outer circle. You never know maybe there will be some interchange of positions from one to the other with your brother in law. If not it can be disappointing and hurtful but you're better off doing your cull and keeping the positive peeps around. Big hug cause it's certainly not easy. Xx Cath

@Jenv - brother-in-law can't handle it! That's fine he belongs in the outer circle not the inner circle. Discard for now and concentrate on positive people only. If that's not so easy then remember to come on here and vent away; we can smile and nod and encourage you back to some sense of normality - good dummy spit is sometimes needed! - JenvMemberYou get me! You are saying everything that I'm feeling and saying to myself....i know there is going be ups and downs, but just treat like normal...I've got one brother in law who i am very close too..i mean we can just talk about anything ...but he wont come near me cos he has me 6 feet under in the ground already....well, you know what if thats ur attitude, get stuffed...need positivity.
Thankyou - melclarityMember@Jenv Glad you sorted out what it was, I think the best thing you could do is keep talking to your Oncologist, tell him exactly how youre feeling about everything! I know when I had my recurrence in 2015 I was mentally RS and for me its still a journey back so I can only imagine how you feel. As you say family are so difficult to contend with...because what you need the most is normality, to be treated normal. I Found I just withdrew from people because they dont get it and I lost tolerance for ignorance. didnt want pity just to be treated normal. Mentally and emotionally I find a much bigger battle than the physical at times. Its hard to keep going and face the next thing. I know when I did chemo I wanted to curl up and end it..the most soul destroying thing Ive ever been through in my life. Great thing Ive found about coming here, is we all just get it...and its so damn supportive....so big hugs to you for sharing! glad youve got your balance again. Melinda xo
- @Jenv, this is a great place to come and rant because we competely get it! Jane x
- primekMember@Jenv that's what we are here for.
- JenvMemberHi, recent ct scan shows no fluid build up...breathing issue seems to be from a possible met and hence why i will be starting chemo next week.....my panic and rant previously was apparently from a strong dose of dexamethesone my oncologist has put me on til i start the chemo and i just reacted badly with, much better now dose is lowered.....i was a fair bitch to everyone around me...thanks everyone for your concern xx
- brightspaceMemberHi Jenv if breathing continues to be poor please see gp even hospital for fluid build up this does need to be drained
All best B - fairydustMember@Jenv thinking of you. I would probably suggest ring oncologist if not then breast care nurse for help. You would not be normal if you were not anxious. If you cant sleep get up get a warm drink read etc then try sleeping. just a suggestion.
I love computer games even playing solitaire calms me sometimes. No quick fix your situation is hard. - SoldierCrabMember
- I M 56 years old, my husband, Nic, and i are parents/careres to a mentally, autistic son 36 years old...the worry of him znd then the worry that i will be gone and hubby is left with it all...no guarantees in life for sure.....i am usually an upbeat get on with it type of girl but yhis recent tur in events is knocking me....HATE IT...dont do sick very well let alone dying added to that..April 30Comment
- I find it hard dealling with my family....its that over emotional involvement and soppy sentiment that i find difficult to deal with...now that my cancer has cranked up a notch its like..."how do we treat her, how do we do around her...for fuck sake, i'm not dead yet, treat me like normal...i find family, whilst they want to be there, are the biggest obstacles to contend with.April 30Comment
- After 15 years of i guess remission, reccurrence diagnosis in May 2015 with mets in spine...plodded along nicely just on femera with monthly injection of xgeva...has now kicked up a gear where having severe breathing issues...cloudy/fluffy lung (left) ....awaiting to start chemo, 10th May, but the way i feel, i reckon i wont make it.......I'm fine just sitting and doing light stuff but any form of physical exertion, well lets just say i struggle....I'm starting to think just let me die....should i pbone incologist and tell him how i am with a view to getting the chemo started now or bide may time and just put it down to being anxious?.....this fucking thing is so deceptive, as i look fine and well on the outside...sitting here at 3.30 am as cannot sleep.
