Sitting here at 4:15am (CST) after trying since 2:30am to go back to sleep and finally giving up, yet again... Wondering who else is out there this morning, and most mornings at this time?
I didn't make it hear until 5am but that's as a result of Temazapam at 1:30am. Father-in-law's funeral today and I don't want to be a zombie - or worse, fall asleep when the extended family are gathered. (I had to fight it when we met with the funeral director - so embarrassing)
I got 2 lots of 3 hour which is the most I've had in days (weeks?) but I resorted to Tamazepam - one before I went to bed then another as soon as I woke up in the night. Managed to mostly sleep until 5.
The excitement is too much...yesterday new bathers and today I'm heading off to the Look Good, Feel Better workshop.
Oh let me give thanks to the Cosmic Clowns that the evil glowing numbers have finally changed to 5:00 and I can legitimately get up. Kettle's just boiled and after a quick browse on the computer, I can retire to my boudoir and get on with my knitting. Next rude beanie about a third finished as well as other bits and pieces keeping me busy. Hope you other night owls got some sleep as last night was another of those buggers for me!
@sister Read your report while I was in hospital this afternoon, cheered me no end. Sounds like a terrific appointment! What a wonderful service, I'm so glad you've got some nice gear. And wow, thank goodness you didn't cancel your health insurance. Phew!
@kmakm The bra lady (well, actually the bra lady's daughter who works with her) has just been. It's a mobile mastectomy fitting shop and they even come all the way out to me and tradies won't even do that! I got a bra that, while not gorgeous, at least won't put too much pressure on my port so I may be able to wear for longer than an hour before I start to go crazy. I also got a swimming prosthesis and 2! mastectomy bathers - one is gorgeous and one is purely practical for exercise. My health fund (the one we almost cancelled!) will cover 75% of the cost so my husband said to get both if I wanted (I wanted but wouldn't have). And I've still got enough left in the limit to get some nicer bras when I finally get the port out!
@JJ70 So good to hear that someone is sleeping! And yes, I think a nice bottle is in order for my friend.
Morning All. Rolled over to see 5:20 on the clock...yippee!! 11 pm -2...awake for about half an hour...thought about getting up...next thing it is 5:20. YAY! Aiming for a personal training session today, so glad I got a failry good night's sleep.
Such good news about the States Sister. That wonderful retired friend needs a bottle or packet of her favourite treat.
