Who else can't sleep?

@jj70 No hormone blocking pills yet. My turbo charged hot flushes are chemo induced. Was still menstruating in November. The average age for menopause in Australia is 51, which is my age. So my onc is testing all my oestrogen markers to decide if I go onto Tamoxifen or Anastrozole (after the big op). She's leaning towards the Anastrozole but only just. She even asked me which one I'd prefer! Geeze... I said you're the expert, you decide, I'm looking to maximise chances of long life.

And my feet do a bit of that hot throbby itchy stuff too. Irritating.

Had a awake-asleep-awake-asleep-awake-asleep kinda night. Stayed in bed instead of getting up at about 3am and just rested there....did eventually fall back to sleep - (probably took over an hour) so it was a good choice for last night.

 My feet keeping me awake. SOOOOO F'n sore...hot, throbbing - not what you want your feet to be doing.

kmakm are you on any oral estrogen blockers like tamoxifen? Or are your hot flushes chemo charged? Was at a support group on Monday where ladies were experimenting with various times of day/night to take tamoxifen.....just thought it might be a helpful idea if relevant to you. 

Woken from my slumber at 7am by Child 4 needing me to stick five bandaids on her arm in order to cover minute spots that are apparently contagious, will spread over your entire body, including your eyes whereupon you will go blind...

GARGH!!!!!!

You know you are doomed if you turn a screen on at 3am. I can tell you this because I have tested the theory. 
Sometimes I don't care, but I'm better off reading a book. Even if I can't follow the story...

@sister I do get mild ones sometimes during the day but from about 9pm at night they roll in quite strong. It's 10° at mine at the mo. Too cold for the window to be open for me but my feet often hang out of the doina. Temazepam working a bit now so one more trip to the loo and I'll try yet again to sleep. Sigh.

Hi @kmakm, It looks like I've missed you. Windows open and the doona with your feet out - works for me.  I have never (so far) gotten flushes during the day but can have doozies at night - that's not drug induced, though.

Oh here comes another massive hot flush. Not cold any more...

Was about to get a blanket, now I've thrown off the doona. FFS how is this my life now?? Gargh!!!

Been awake since 3am. Post-chemo power pee (don't worry, did the full flush, lid down). Hot flush, cold sweat. Took my temperature. How low is too low? It's 35.7. V nauseous so took a Pramin. Anyone about or are you all in the land of Nod?
