Who else can't sleep?

haha not sure what happened there .. my post disappeared and the pic multiplied!  Using my iPad now!

most of us end up on this thread sooner or later.  I was very sleep deprived over my 10 year menopause horror .... so not looking forward to THAT side effect now I am on  Letrozole.  Lack of sleep just grinds you down ... so I hope you were able to drop off eventually. Xx

I am so sorry that you are feeling so down just now ... warm hugs and love coming to you from Forster xxxx good that you got rid of one kid .... how about all of them for the whole weekend, so you have some ‘you time’ and hopefully better sleep!? (No offence intended! LOL). It is a beautiful day here today .... if you can, go outside and face the sun - and all your shadows will fall behind you!  Xxx

I'm one kid down this morning (she's staying the night at a friend's), the noisiest, and there's a gentle rain pattering down outside so I'm hoping to doze for a couple more hours. Would rather not watch the royal wedding feeling miserable. Hope you're chin is a little higher today and that this weekend is an improvement on the last. K xox

@annsan - hope u finally got to sleep. We have bathroom renovations going on in a unit upstairs and they end up drilling when I’m trying to catch up on some sleep. I also tend have no problem going to sleep like @Sister as reading or watching tele helps me drift off but I find I am normally awake by about 3am and then struggle. I find the more I have on my mind the worse it is. I tend to lie awake and mull over things that are worrying me. I also have arthritis in my right hip and that has been aching more now it is colder (makes me feel like an old woman). Have to work today and decided not to go for my walk (I tend to get muscle weakness the week after the chemo week) and have a sleep in but the bloody cat decided to annoy shit out of me all morning wanting it’s breakfast. 

@kmakm - hope u wake up this morning feeling a little better beautiful lady. Being down in the dumps seems to going around at the moment. 

@annsan You're rarely on your own here. Glad I was able to help. Hope you got some shuteye in the end.

@Sister I"m the other way round and I wish I wasn't. My resolution for next week is to start changing that.

I agree...bloody bandicoots.  @kmakm I've had those thoughts too often so I don't know what to suggest - even the meditation stuff gives me the pip.  
I tend to sleep early and wake up way too early and spend the rest of the night trying to go to sleep until I give up @annsan.  Hope you've finally got some shuteye.

I am so sorry that you are in a dark place @kmakm.  You don't have to help any-one else, just yourself. Just being awake and responding to my post means you have something.  I am grateful that you have posted as I now know I am not on my own. If you weren't awake I would otherwise be talking to myself.....and let me tell you that makes for pretty lousy conversation  :) I hope things improve for you. Ann

Fancy meeting you girls here!  You may know me from another conversation.  I didn't realise how many of us   suffered insomnia.  Well, a couple of nights ago I was awake until 3.45am.  I am hoping I will be asleep earlier tonight.  My husband has to get up at 6.00am to go to work, so I am quietly (shh!) sitting in our spare bedroom typing this. I was always a poor sleeper but since starting chemo and dex it's a whole new world of bug eye! I have had 3 AC treatments and heading towards my 4th next Friday May 25.  Up until this week, I have been able to get to sleep but then I wake up around 2/2.30am without a chance of nodding off again until at least 6am, thank goodness I am not working at the moment.  Now it seems to have changed and I am restless and can't even get 5 minutes sleep when I go to bed.  So I am trialling staying up until exhaustion hits and then go to bed.  This new theory may work except for the fact that our next door neighbour (we live in a townhouse complex) chooses to start yelling at her 7 y.o. twins around 6am each morning.....grr :s !!! I seem to have a brain that is generally asleep (chemo brain?) when I am trying to hold a vaguely intelligent conversation with some-one, but that goes from 0 to 100 in 4  seconds when I am trying to sleep.  The things I haven't laid in bed and thought about aren't worth mentioning!!  Can any-one out there in "sleepless land" possibly offer up any suggestions please? Damn!  Too much going thru my head last night - might have finally nodded off after 3am ...... :(   I hope this is not setting up a pattern!  :(
