@kmakm - take the current ones out - that’s what I did before I lost one. Rocked some low cut tops. Went through my closet on the weekend to see what I might not be able to wear and with buying a white and a black bandeau too I can modify my wardrobe and only had to chuck out 2 things. Make sure to take the new ones out when u r all healed too. R u getting the reconstruction at the same time or just getting the prep for the reconstruction done? With my single I didn’t find pain too bad and hardly needed any pain relief but u r getting a bigger procedure than me. Treatment does vary - my oncologist has me on higher dex for the nausea compared to what I read some other people have (not complaining though as I have had basically no nausea) and the Neulasta injection is one she does regularly - all the chemo nurses say lots of people end up in hospital apparently without it so I will suck up the 2 to 3 days of pain. Hopefully the panadine forte works better or she said she can prescribe me some endone if needed. I just have my berlei boob at the moment - keep worrying my kleptomaniac cat will steal it if I leave it in the wrong place.
U will never know until after the fact how u will feel - I still find it off that the potential hair loss upsets me more than the boob loss but I still out that down to a privacy thing and I may feel differently down the track. U look after yourself and I hope u sleep better tonight. Exercise, cup of tea or wine and a good book. Big hugs xoxooxox
