Hi @Barks34, I  hope you've managed to through the weekend without to much (operative word here) undue stress. The beginning is such a stressful time, without public holidays thrown in, with the lack of supports that often entails.

We will give you as much support as we can.  We've all been there and understand the depths of despair and desperation that happens with cancer.  But don't discount the non-cancer helplines.  Tell whoever you ring that you need to speak to someone about the effects of cancer and that the normal avenues are closed.

@Barks34 This is an extraordinary hive mind. In the absence of someone to talk to, you could give the forum a try. It's a rare issue that hasn't been raised before. Hang in there, K xox

Great that you have asked the community for help.  Is there anything specific that is bothering you? Anything that myself or the online community members can help you with?  

The information that @iserbrown has provided is correct and I posted it today in our Friday update.  I contacted Cancer Council today and their helpline is unfortunately closed on public holidays and weekends, so all of Easter.

If you are worried or feeling anxious, BeyondBlue can be of assistance, they are available 24/7.

Hi Barks34, can any of us help? You could try the Cancer council help line but not sure if it’s 24hrs over Easter weekend.

You can ring those helplines and say BCNA are closed and offered their numbers for help and then say Cancer and where you are located and emotionally and hopefully they can help or refer 

Otherwise use the BCNA website to research your type of cancer et cetera
