- When my grandson was three and still an only child, we spent a lot of time together. I'd do one overnight visit per week and our days were very busy with craft and reading. I was still very unwell and so, sit down, indoor activities were my limit. One day, his mother turned some of his favourite songs on her phone for him to dance to, and of course, Granny joined in with the singing. He stopped his leaping about, and said..."No Granny...don't sing....just do your knitting instead". Tough audience...
