Anger
I'm not a very nice person. I get so irritable and irritated lately...actually, just plain angry, and feel as if I could bite someone. I have no patience with people doing their jobs poorly (because, of course, I'm so perfect). I was heading into grumpy old/middle-aged womandom before BC but, far out, I've exceeded all expectations. I'm wondering if it's lack of oestrogen or just plain bad temper.

- ZoffielMemberI'd like to run away too.
I live on my own so can't imagine how leaving would help, but I have an urge to do it anyway.
If I leave me, can I come too? - kmakmMember@Sister I so get that feeling. It is my constant companion. For most of my life. Itchy feet at best, fight or flight response at worst, I want to run away most of the time.
- SisterMemberI don't think I want to be new. I do, however, think I'd like to run away and leave everyone to their own devices.
- Brenda5MemberI don't know if I had the anger one. I had frustration, indignation, a total lack of empathy for others to the point I felt I could stab anyone to death and not feel anything. I also had a short period of suicide thoughts in the frustration stage. I sought help. It did all pass, you just have to be patient during this shuffle in to the new you. <3
- AnnskiMemberOur post BC feelings are so complex and confusing. Exactly one year on Femara now, a month or two ago I was fizzing with determination to make the best of everything and achieve at least a few life goals, now I couldn't care less and am sure nothing good is on the horizon. Made the mistake of rereading my path report and can't believe how miserable and defeated I am feeling. @Sister, wanting to bite people mightnt be so bad! Maybe it's a kind of BC-zombie syndrome.
- SisterMemberHope everyone's had their tetanus shots @zoffiel
- Kiwi_AngelMemberHaha - I was just googling about menopause. @Sister You are definitely not alone - I find myself most days going between anxiety, anger and feeling like I’m about to burst into tears. I’m sick of myself.
- arpieMemberPinched from @iserbrown ;)
- ZoffielMemberNah, it's not you, it's everyone else. Nothing like being sliced, diced, poisoned and irradiated then blessed with shriveled bits to to clarify your exact tolerance for twits, twats and unexpected loud noises. All those years of being nice to people (OK maybe not so much on my part) and now you have turned stabby. Hardly surprising, really. At least you can console yourself you used to be patient...
Hang in there chick, and if you bite someone, I'll bet they justly deserve it. - kmakmMemberI find myself less angry and more empathetic, most of the time anyway! I agree with @Afraser, I find I have to call on reserves of patience when dealing with people who haven't had the wake up call. Sometimes this causes me to disengage from conversations.
My psychologist thinks I do have some anger and says I have to find a healthy way to let it out; one that doesn't hurt me or those around me. Is there something you can channel it into @Sister?
