- KatyJoyMember@LMK74 Yes! It works! Thanks for that! It’s taken me ages to work that out, your awesome! Thankyou
- KatyJoyMember@LMK74 lets give that a try, I’m using my iPad so it should be the same, great to focus on the positives, no periods is a good thing
- LMK74Member@KatyJoy, yes you type the @ symbol first before the name. It automatically underlines it when you hit post . As you type the person's name you should see a box pop up on your screen with a list of names, you just touch which one you want . I hope that makes sense lol,I'm terrible at explaining. I only use my phone or tablet to post, so if you're using a computer it may be different.
I'm not wanting anymore surgery either for now, mastectomy is quite enough lol. The only good thing about this whole bc saga is no periods, can't say I miss those . I sincerely hope we don't need the zoladex for that many years . - KatyJoyMember@LMK74, Do you actually type the @ before the name? Do you manually underline it? Is there a simpler way to tag someone? Zoladex aren’t pleasant, but I’m not ready to go under the knife again just yet so ill put up with it. It’s nice to know it doesn’t sound like it will be the full 10 years for zoladex. I see my onc in April so I will get clarification then. I have never had local, but the cool sense thing seems to work well, although once I gave myself a freeze burn, so I have learnt to move it around lol!
- LMK74Member@KatyJoy, I'm technology challenged lol. I'm not quite sure what you mean. You tagged my name and then I got your message, so you are doing it right. I asked the same question about getting the ovaries out . She said there's no need lol. I asked how long I'd have to be on zoladex and she said after 2yrs on it I will get a break and if periods come back I will have to go back on it. I've been on it a year already so will see I guess. I've been told five years on Arimidex. I can't sleep either and never get to sleep before 2am.
My last zoladex felt like I was stabbed in the ovarie even though I had a local first . - LMK74Member@Molly001, great to hear from you. The old lady feeling like, I can so relate. My body is so stiff and achey. My oncologist says this is from zoladex and chemo and now the Arimidex. I started on zoladex straight away at same time I started chemo in February last year. Hot flushes were worst while on chemo. They are very mild now. Glad to hear your doing ok on it. Good luck tomorrow for your first zoladex. Tell me how it goes. Sciatica is bad, my mum suffered with it on and off for years. She said it was excruciating at times. I hope you get that sorted. I will stay on it also .

- KatyJoyMember@LMK74 I have been asking my oncologist to refer me to have my ovaries removed so i can ditch the Zoladex but she thinks its a bit extreme Lol!, I cant see ;much difference given that i will be on letrazole for 10 years, and presumably that means 10 years of zoladex too! That’s at least 120 injections! The nurses in day oncology use cool sense, which is like an ice cold metal thing, to numb the spot before they give zoladex so its not that painful. I am stiff and sore all the time though and have the hot flushes and cant sleep. The joys of bc! Hey, stupid question, how do you tag someone when you respond to their post? As in, you have an at symbol in front of my name and the underline and then I get notified you have mentioned me? I should know but I’m obviously not very tech savvy Lol!
- LMK74Member@KatyJoy, I started on Arimidex and the palbociclib in December last year one month after finishing radiation. I was pre menopausal before all this Crap started. Do you hate that zoladex as much as I do?. I wonder if we will ever feel like we did before.
- Molly001MemberGreat post @LMK74. I was wondering how all the Pallas ladies were going also. Likewise with the fatigue for me. Never really got much better since chemo/radio and the palbo seems to increase it slightly. Otherwise I'm mostly fine, I think. Hard to know what's lingering from chemo and what's the hormone blockers as well. I was only neutropeanic the once after cycle 2. Im just on the break from cycle 5 now and still on 125mg. Have my 3 month check in tomorrow. @LMK74 I will have my first zoladex injection tomorrow as they want to switch me from tamoxifen to AI meds. I'm a bit anxious about it as I'm already moody, hot, sweaty, tired, achy etc. I've been struggling with what I think is sciatica (will discuss with docs tomorrow). I'm 40yo and feel about 80 haha. But I don't think it's the Palbo causing most of my issues. I will probably stick with it for now as I don't like the idea of being 'high risk' for recurrance.
