Hi Coxie,
sorry to see you here, welcome to this wonderful site with a wealth of information and support.
I was diagnosed with Triple negative Breast cancer October 2018.
After a year of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I have come through the other end, starting to get my energy levels back again.

Last week I had my first yearly mammogram after diagnosis and treatment, was given the all clear in both breasts.
You to can beat this horrid disease , take one day at a time, Be kind to yourself, get rest when needed.
Stay positive is the key, be around people that are positive, do some meditation classes, I found this so helpful especially in the beginning.
I still do meditation classes on a weekly basis.

This early stage is so hard and frightening. I don’t have the exact same type but I am just as terrified and still shedding many tears. I have had surgery, waiting for chemo and it’s a hideous time. I remind myself every day (sometimes it works!) that I only have to get through today. We will get through this.

@coxie It's normal to feel overwhelmed at this stage. It was the two-year anniversary of my diagnosis last Sat, and I well remember the whirlwind of thoughts. Now, I'm two lots of surgery, five months of chemo and 25 days of radiation farther along. Waiting for the next step will be one of the hardest things to do ... waiting for results, waiting for appointments, etc. Make sure you ask all the questions you want to ask and get the answers. Try to give yourself some pampering in between everything, and get some exercise - that will help you to process your thoughts. All the best.

Breathe! I didn’t have triple A negative but the reaction to a diagnosis is much the same whatever the type. We don’t want to have cancer and we are scared silly about treatment. Triple A responds well to treatment. In terms of getting through 5 or 10 years without a recurrence, it’s no worse than other types of breast cancer, I believe. You have a specialist team, very good. It takes a bit of time to get your head around all of this but your treatment so far seems thorough and relevant. Do you have some support to help you through the first few weeks, which can be a lot of waiting alternated with a lot of new unfamiliar stuff? Best wishes.
