Hi Betty123 I had a double mx in Nov 24 with immediate implant. The sentinel node was clear so I didn't require any further treatment. Had I opted for a lumpectomy, even though the sentinel node was clear, I would have required some type of treatment. I had it incredibly easy so to speak compared to so many others in this group. Decisions are always so hard. Have a chat to your surgeon if possible, or join the private recon / flat group. There is never a wrong decision as far as what we choose; we do what we feel is the best choice for us. All the best for your journey.
Thank you my surgeon suggested a lumpectomy + radiation and I think I am comfortable with that going in for surgery next week.
