a difficult day

Today was my PET scan & also a CT scan. Awful.

but I did it.
I’m just still struggling with the enormity of it all. It’s surreal. I feel like I’m in a bad dream. And on the scan table I was wondering how the hell I got here. I’m scared. I cry lots. I know I’ve posted this before 🫶🏻
it’s good to be able to get it out!
Thanks for listening 🌸

  • We are here for you.  And yes, wish I could give you more support than my words on a page.

It's ok to go through the full range of feelings about this awful disease.  Keep posting here often.  I wonder if we all go through a moment (or many) of "this can't be happening to me" ?

I listened to the first episode of the BCNA podcast about anxiety, today.  It was very good, I hadn't thought about all the ways anxiety could find me. I'm not sure I'm ready for this roller coaster, but it's coming regardless.

    I'm still numb, in disbelief.

KalGal, I feel the same. Anger, disbelief, desperation, numbness, fear, so many emotions tangled together. Struggling to keep it together.

Praying for all of us 🙏

  • Well done! Just keep going and don't stop. Be strong and fight.

I completely feel you! I've had a horrible day myself; angry, crying, irritable, petrified, just beside myself. I keep thinking the worst and my surgeon's appointment can't come quick enough.

You're so right about "how did I get here". It's just hard to believe it.... 😢

I wish I can give you more comfort 😔 but all I can say, be brave and strong. 🙏 ❤️  Post here as much as you can...

  • Well done on getting thru it, Ann58  xx.  We can all relate to what you are going thru xx. Take lots of deep breaths ...... and don't get ahead of yourself.
Try & take it one day at a time, one hour, if need be xx

It sounds 'trite' just now - but it DOES feel a lot better once you've had your surgery & have your 'game plan'.

Right now, it is an emotional roller coaster.  Have a chat with our Mods or your Breast Cancer Nurse - and definitely listen to the Charlotte Tottman podcasts xx

    take care
