Leaving this Forum

Absolutely disgusted that even the most simple and even appropriate comments and support of others are being censored and removed by a particular moderator. So I too will be leaving the BCNA forum. To all my fellow BC fighters, survivors and my metastatic comrades. I wish you all the best with your fight. May you hang tough, get through this and feel cared for, heard and supported. God bless (whoops I mentioned God) this post will be removed.

    Hi @Tennille I haven’t read any of your posts, except this one, but if you feel that the forum is in some way unjust and brings you stress, it sounds like a good idea to leave. Follow what brings you joy. All the best.

    It doesn't bring me stress as I haven't posted anything personal  or 'controversial ' what bothers me is the way I have seen others treated and I dont want to be a part of a culture that doesn't respect or support the differences of others.

    I think it’s important to give out positive energy in life. Sometimes it’s good to take a break.

    @Tennille

    Dear oh Dear!  I think it's time to take a deep breath and perhaps take a break and come back when you are feeling a little refreshed, had a walk, cup of tea or whatever you find helps to relax you, whether that be in an hour or so or a week or so

    Please be mindful that @Giovanna and the others do a damned good job.  We are a mix of all different stages of treatment, walks of life, the affect on us personally and everyone conveys their message as best they can but sometimes it is misconstrued.

    Take care

    @iserbrown post was a timely reminder about life on a blog.

    Sometimes in messaging  I have inadvertently used the verb affect when I should have used the noun effect too .

    Selection of words is however very important in order  for the message to not be misconstrued .

    @Aggie - how dare you!  I do not drink!  Yes I am offended by that comment
  • iserbrowniserbrown Regional VictoriaMember Posts: 3,842
    @Aggie - waiting for your apology - no doubt you will say it was a tongue in cheek comment and I should just suck it up!

    Therein is a lesson in itself, you should be careful about how you address something on the forum - I don't know you personally and you don't know me however you shouldn't make assumptions

    We are here to support each other!!

    Note to self - go back to your time away from the forum

    The above conversation upsets me greatly and I can only imagine how @iserbrown is feeling.  This is a good example of how conversations can get out of hand and can really affect ladies. If you cannot comment favourably @Aggie then perhaps you should say nothing ?  Yes, we all see mis-spellings or whatever but most of us let it go knowing it is simply that.  None of us think we are literary specialists.  Maybe you do ?  How about an apology and then get on with life to the best of our ability.  Anne  PS  Thinking of you. @iserbrown

    @BlackWidow
    Thank you but as you can see in my other post I realised that I reacted badly to what @Aggie had said
    At times we all have a trigger point that sets us off and that was one

    @Aggie I will now be checking the grammatical accuracy of your posts. This will include highlighting any inaccuracies. I have an editing symbols sheet which will come in very handy. Picking on the spelling of people on a cancer support site is pretty low.
