Tram flap + heart valve replacement

Hi. I am almost 8 yrs post double mastectomy+tram flap op. ( Best decision ever! So happy with results).
But now I have a faulty aortic heart valve( not related to BC).
Just wondering if anyone has had open heart surgery since a tram flap? What are the extra risks to our reconstruction?
I am hoping the doc says I can use other options 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Welcome to the forum, @dianamaree I am So sorry to hear of the heart issues and the need for further surgery
Try not to get ahead of yourself & worry about things that 'may happen', when all going well, it will be a smooth surgery with great outcome for you xx
What has your heart surgeon said about any complications (if any) with the surgery? Hopefully they'll be able to repair the heart valve without any issues to your Tram Flap op ....
Being 8 years 'post op', it should all be 'settled' ... What is your main concern?
take care & all the best0 -
Thank you. Has only been a week since leaving hospital. Still waiting to see the cardiologist. May not need surgery for a while, with any luck. 🤞🏻

Take care, rest up & recuperate from your surgery - was it BC related? xx
Fingers crossed you can wait for the heart bits0
