Hi @annmaree872
When you refer to “procedures” are you including a double mastectomy?
I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction and it was a big decision as well as (2) big surgeries.
I found that the private group on here “ Choosing reconstruction” very helpful - ladies who have been there post stories and photos - I did also call the BCNA helpline and talk to my ( female) GP as well as a friend of a friend who had a double mastectomy and reconstruction and that was also very helpful.
There are different types of reconstruction and some ladies stay flat - there is a private group on here for that too “ Flatchat”.
The helpline can join you up if you have issues.
With all my medical decisions I asked my Dr “ what would you do if it was you”? Or if the Dr was male “ What would you advise your sister/mother/aunt in these circumstances?
Take care.
