Exemestane, anyone had this?

I was on Exemestane for 6 months, early in my hormone blocking period ..... I found it good for 6 months, then I had some side effects & I swapped over to Anastrozole for the last 4.5 years.   

Just give it 'an honest go' ......  not everyone gets side effects ..... so all going well, you won't either xx

I wasn’t in this but was on “ sister” drugs - fit joint pain and trigger thumb.
Not everyone gets side effects and many only get mild side effects.
Give it a go and if you get side effects tell your medical team - there are things that can b done.

Thanks, yes I will just speak to my specialist about it all in more detail, I've got to remember if I don't "ask" he doesn't offer anything, I'll be writing things down this time  :#

@cindi I've found this medication to be better for me than letrozeole.    Was on letrozeole for 2.5 years.  I feel I have less side effects now.

Hi everyone,

I;ve posted elsewhere about this but I'm desperate, does anyone who has had Exemestane know if a side affect is restless leg syndrome throughout ALL the body? 

Last night I had bad sweats, which I can put up with but the restlessness throughout my whole body was horrible, I really couldn't sleep.

I ended up having to have a pain killer ( Polexia) to get to sleep in the end in the wee hours of the morning.

I've texted my nurse about this but haven't heard back PLEASE has anyone any suggestions?
I can't go through this every night  :s

Sounds like you should make an appointment to see the GP

hello @iserbrown, Thanks for your advise, yes I actually saw my GP this avo but she wasn't sure what to do, she ended up refusing sleeping pills but giving me a script for Melatonin. Really hope it works.
I guess I've just got to put up with it.
