Is there any information about the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine and blood clotting issues for those who are currently taking Tamoxifen (given that Tamoxifen increases the risk of blood clots)?

The latest information that I've seen regarding the blood clot risk is that
    1. The overall risk is actually less than that of the general population
    2. Therefore the benefit of having the vaccine out weighs the risk
I don't know if there is any specific information regarding Tamoxifen but I would still lean towards having it. I've had my first dose of the Astra Zenica vaccine. I'm on one of the AI's, so no clot risk there. However, I was diagnosed with lung clots, small and peripheral in October last year so I'm still on an anticoagulant. All being well, I should be finishing that at the end of the month. I will be having a good talk to my Respiratory specialist about how to manage the 2nd vaccine.

Is there any information on the Cancer Council link previously posted?

I checked with my GP. The AV blood clot is very different and a very rare clot. Seems it is in base of brain. In UK 20,000,000 people have had AV and the clot risk is 0.00395%. Definitely low risk there. Probably greater risk of a clot from the contraception pill. Probably good to discuss it with your GP.
