Hi Everyone again,

still waiting for the removal and testing of my phylodes tumour on the 8th of August. I am feeling ok about it and am not overly worried most of the time , sometimes the fear creeps in. I did see on here a previous phylodes  group? may someone tell me if this still exists please? I also am interested in advice regarding my other breast that I originally went for all this journey for. My right breast had no tumour or ? cyst in it on my testing 6 months ago even though that is the breast that is always itchy and feels weird. It now has a 6mm cyst not there before that I cant feel as it is too deep like my left breast. Should I push to  get this looked at further? my PT is my left breast I also cant feel and in nov last year was considered nothing to worry about and in 6ish months it tripled in size starting my whole journey. because I do not know if the left PT is malignant yet should I worry? The surgeon is brilliant that I have and she is not concerned? I guess its because I cant feel them deep on my chest wall and so I cant monitor them myself. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry @Auntieshell78 - I can't remember what your path to diagnosis was.  I'm assuming that you had a diagnostic mammogram on the right breast?  Did you also have an ultrasound or other tests?  The reason I ask is that, while ductal carcinoma forms a lump, others such as lobular don't and can be indicated by itchiness or dimpling, and can be very difficult to see on a mammogram.  I would bring it up again with your surgeon for your peace of mind.

    Hello @Auntieshell78
Thank you for your post.  Im not aware of a specific phyllodes group in this forum.  You can use the search function and type in 'phyllodes' and you will see some of the past discussions that have taken place.  I understand that you have concerns regarding your other breast, make sure you check with your specialist and dont hesitate to call our helpline on 1800 500 258 to speak with a cancer nurse for information and support.  All the best
