Thanks for the feedback on AllClear @Cate64 - wow that is super expensive. It is so frustrating. Your cruise sounds great, what did you end up doing about insurance?

We went in Sept 2016.  Was only slightly more expensive to have the pre existing cover.

Just rang them & they wanted over $6000 for 54 days, over $110 a day. Extortion

That was for AllClear.  Tried CGU for lung mets & they wouldn't consider. You know, if I was failing & frail I could understand insurance companies hesitation, but I don't consider myself a high risk.  My sister in law with her heart condition is, but can get coverage no worries

I tried CGU as well after @Coffee said they accepted her with mets but they said no... I can be covered for everything except anything to do with the cancer or for pleural effusion which is considered cancer related..

@BronS and @Cate64 - thanks for letting us know about your experiences with AllClear and CGU.  It sounds like the travel insurance problems will continue for those of us with metastatic breast cancer, it is so annoying.
