    Thanks for sharing this, Christine.

I had 3 weekend "escapes" during my chemo and believe this helped myself and my family to cope with my diagnosis and treatment. I was on a three week cycle and would go on the weekend before my next chemo was due. I had one weekend with my hubby visiting our best friends, one weekend away with my parents, and one with our two daughters.

I did not know about the Otis Foundation. What a wonderful initiative that could help others to have a little "escape" at this difficult time of our lives.

I have had 2 escapes while going through treatment at 2 different Otis properties it gave me the time to regroup ready for the next phase.

    HIghly recommend them.

I am going to Kez's Hideaway on January 27th, that will be my first Otis Retreat Getaway & I am really looking forward to it. Going with my husband/rock & 3 of my parkrun best friends & their husbands.

My parkrun family have been an absolute godsend on this journey.

Just wondered if these properties are also available to someone who has finished active treatment or only to those still going through treatment?

My girlfriends and I recently stayed at the beautiful Otis retreat 'Alyonah' for 3 nights in Daylesford. It is a beautiful property and such a wonderful charity. It was a lovely opportunity to thank the girls who have been my rocks and to take time out.

I can still remember my breast care nurse giving me the Otis pamphlet - it was a little silver lining not long after my diagnosis.

Would be lovely if a couple more Queensland businesses were part of it. There's only two. I'm on a waiting list for the one in SE Qld. The other one is in Far North Qld. I'm very grateful if we get the opportunity to go.
