Tattoo
Hi everyone I had a double masectomy and sentinel node clearance last year and breast reconstruction this year. I chose to have my nipples removed and no reconstruction. I was wondering if anyone has had or thought about tattooing to cover up the scars?

Difficult Emotions
4 years on from lumpectomy, aux clearance and radiation, I have just had an aux dissection op 2 weeks ago, 5 days in hosp as I live on my own in regional area, and had to wait for district nurse place to open up. Drainage removed today by surgeon. I looked in my diary from 4 years ago when my sister had come to the city…

Mastectomy and reconstruction in the public system
Six years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer I didn’t have health insurance (and I still don’t). I had no option but to undergo my treatment in the public system. Initially I feared I might suffer in some way as a result, have to wait longer, have inferior treatment. But there was no waiting with cancer and on the…

Strange arm, one year on.
I don’t know if this is something to be concerned about, but I’ll put it out there. I have had a successful lumpectomy a year ago, a month of radiation, and good health since. Last week my upper arm on the affected side began to feel tender to touch. It was almost a burning sensation when I brushed my hand across the skin.…

Nerve damage/ache/pain?
After 4 years since lumpectomy I have had aches on my ribs and on side of breast. Doctor said it is nerve pain. My GP says that after 4 years it couldn't possibly be nerve pain. Conflicting advice from health professionals. Anyone else been diagnosed with nerve pain/damage but not until years later?

Post surgery
Hi guys, Surgery on Friday went well except for me reacting to medication I am on with the dye for sentinel node biopsy or the pain meds. Besides that a wide local excision and reduction to both breasts. I'm home today, little sleep as many of you would resonate with after being in hospital. I'm freaking out that after the…

Newbie with Questions about Surfing/Water
Morning, I am newly diagnosed on Tuesday , saw the Surgeon on Thursday now waiting for the date of the op for my mastectomy. After processing this all weekend, just wondering if anyone can help with these questions. I am a keen SUP and surfer, I fear I will be unbalanced. Is this a thing? I fear having more operations and…

Delayed emotional fallout
I had a double mastectomy following DCIS diagnosis in March 2018 with direct implants. I was fine with that, but then the skin got dry gangrene on the right side and had to have the nipple removed, then the implant removed, then lost the expander as well. Now nearly two months later I have an awful looking mess on the…

Broken humerus
I had a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed over four years ago and have now broken my humeral bone on that side. Am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if the bone healed without surgical intervention. Since the removal of lymph nodes I find that even the smallest cut to that hand or arm takes a long time to…
