@Tracey_B, thank you for that, beautiful, am so very very proud of my grandaughter, she is participating in her 4th anzac parade, she does the cataphault{not sure if thats right} but she has to stand for 40 minutes without moving,she has been a cadet now for nearly 4 years, she wears my grandfathers medals with honour, he was in the first world war in the UK and spent a long time in the german prisoner of war camps, also grandson number one he wears his great grandfathers medals, he was in ww2 and was the youngest major in the Army, this little boy has been going to the dawn service since he was 2 years old hes now 11 - to all who served - we will remember them -

That's so lovely Wendy, it's such a special day for us all. We would not have our wonderful society with its vibrancy and opportunities, without our military heritage, and the fact that these people fought for us with love. It's fantastic that people march with pride on this special day.5

My father was a POW on the Thai Burma railway for 3 years when he came home in 1945 his parents did not recognise him he was a bag of bones, He died aged 78 of Pancreatic Cancer RIP2

Thanks for sharing Stork, how horrible that must have been for him and your family. War is a dreadful thing and they just keep happening. I really feel for the armed services staff and their families. So glad that your father recovered physically and got a good shot at life. Cuddles xxxx2
