When is it ok to have a regular massage?

    Hi @Gerryb my Oncologist was happy for me to have a massage during Chemo, however I didn't find it very beneficial as they wouldn't press very hard due to low platelets. I have since gone for two since finishing and love it. You can look in the Cancer Council Wendite for people accrediated in Oncology Massage. Cheers Mel

    Gerry there are actually Oncology Masseurs so I found out, I bumped into a lady I used to know years ago and she was a Nurse, turned Masseur...now an Oncology masseur. So Id say thats what Youre looking for, someone who deals with this. Hugs Melinda xo

    I had massages throughout my treatment by an oncology masseur....

    If you are at risk of lympodema it's best to avoid hard massage on the potentially affected arm, I have been advised it can aggravate or cause lymphedema.  Karen
