Hot Flushes
Would love to know if others have had this problem. I am 75yrs. old, but since about 50 the only time I have never had flushes was when I was on HRT. Now, off HRT. because of Breast Cancer and taking Tamoxifen I am having terrible flushing. The Doctor's have tried every medication, I even went to hospital to have a "Stella Ganglia Block" but nothing has worked. My Doctor's now want to put me back on to hormones, which worries me, as my cancer was aggressive and 3/3. Any advice or opinion, would be appreciated.
First chemo!
Hi everyone! I had my first chemo session today, starting with AC. Though I was warned and given a strong anti-nausea tablet before they started, I was absolutely not prepared for the crippling nausea that has ensued! I was fine throughout the treatment but on the way home it got worse and I've had waves that have had me over the toilet, sweating and gagging (but no actual vomit yet!). I have taken emexlon which seems to work for about 5 minutes and then the relief wears off. If it continues I will of course bring it up with my team but in the meantime, does anybody have any home remedies that have helped keep the nausea at bay? Stay strong team! X
Hot flushes on Tamoxifen
Hello. Newby here. Just wondering if you could advise me. I have been on Tamoxifen for 8 months now and have been putting up with those pesky hot flushes at least 20 times in 24 hours. Started taking Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg three times a day. Not one to put too much faith in these types of remedies but the symptoms eased considerably. This lasted a few weeks and now back flushing away all be it possibly to a lesser frequency. Any other things you could suggest??? thanks

Hi ladies I have a general question for you, I have been told that even though I am almost 2 years past diagnosis, that I am still compromised... I am on Arimadex, and also my 2 year check up and has been bought forward as I have found another lump in my unaffected breast.. does anyone know if this is correct Thanks.
Hot flush and nausea
I have done the search thing here with no result. Surely I am not the only one. Every time I get a hot flush I feel nauseous. Not enough to puke, just churningstomach and feel feverish (but I don’t have a high temp). I also feel like this anytime my body feels overheated. I certainly didn’t feel like this pre BC. I am not on hormone tablets. Herceptin finished four months ago. By logical thinking I should be improving. My doctor just says hmmmm. Anybody else or am I just weird? Maybe I shouldn’t have asked that last question!
Tamoxifen sweats! How do you manage your smell?!
Hi ladies, I’m doing well so far on tamoxifen, it has been 2 full months. I am experiencing hot flushes and have become quite a sweaty person. I want to change my clothes and shower twice a day. I feel like my pj’s smell. I’m using a crystal deodorant for my underarms but wondering if there is such a thing as an all over solution that isn’t a spray deodorant? Is there such a thing as a deodorant soap? I’m not finding an answer with Google today!

Chills at night
I completed chemo on the last day of 2018, finished radiotherapy in March and had a bilateral mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction 3.5 weeks ago. I’m will be on hormone treatments for 10 years (I was diagnosed at 40). Just about every night in the last week, I have been waking up shivering, as if my foobs are freezing. I also get hot flushes, but it this is mostly manageable. Would the chills be the body’s reaction to the surgery I’ve had? I don’t have a temperature. thanks
Night sweats sleep remedies help!!
Hi all, Just finished AC started night sweats kicked in full swing even before Taxol and herceptin. Every night for weeks. I can see this will be permanent and i will go mental. As not able to sleep even when not an inferno Does anyone know of anything that might help, remedies,herbals, alernative therapies, teas, ive read about black cohosh for example.anything would be appreciated 😊
