Re: Does anyone use Medical Cannibis for Joint and Muscle pain from Aromatase Inhibitors?
Yes I was on cbd oil when first diagnosed it was fantastic for pain and to relax I was as happy as Larry even wirh stage four cancer 😊 the medical grade tablets I tried on trial were not effective and the tincture drops rubbish. It’s a natural product intended to help once it’s tampered with and put into tablets I believe that benefit is gone18Views0likes0CommentsHello Everyone I’m still here and great !
I saw a message today Iser mentioned me stating I hadn’t been heard of for a long time. Well hellllllllooooo everyone .... five years 3 months into her 2 metastatic breast cancer and fighting fit. I moved to the beach at Marcoola bought 50 metres from the surfs edge and crazy love it. My heart sings living here and I believe it’s soothes my soul and has helped put me in the cancer free (fingers crossed cat) complete response from herceptin and perjeta I’m not sure if this will always be the case however I eat every day to nourish exercise is my medicine I’m a big believer the healthier we are the better our body has the ability to fight and heal and I love my life here. I’ve missed you all however I don’t live and breathe cancer anymore in fact apart from visiting the Mater for my treatment every three weeks I hardly ever think about it. I hope everyone is well and believe in their ability to take control of this disease. Xoxo hugz to everyone244Views2likes7CommentsRe: Breast friends are vital when you’re diagnosed with breast cancer
Sorry .... iserbrown you missed the plot here with my post totally. I am the most positive person in the world. The point of my post was to say not always are support groups supportive in the right way and the one I joined was the opposite. Seriously I put one post on and your negativity and missing the plot is exactly why I don’t look this online forum up any more. wow talk about read something into my post that wasn’t there 🙄7Views0likes0CommentsRe: Breast friends are vital when you’re diagnosed with breast cancer
I haven’t been on this forum for a very long time and read this post with interest. I joined a support group early last year an advanced breast cancer group after a rather weird interview process of three times before being told I was accepted despite having metastatic breast cancer. Lucky me .....I needed support and kind words of encouragement as I have a family that are non supportive not meaning to be they are kind of over it really and aren’t into it in the beginning or the novelty wore off. Ha not for me. So I saw this Advanced Breast Cancer group with weekly SUPPORT teleconferences and my ears pricked up finally some support others who just may get it and understand. oh wow how wrong I was. It totally did my head in and others expressed the same to me I finally made the move and left expressing the reasons and it didn’t go down very well but I told the truth. It was a group for gifting memory boxes and start packing them for the setting sun you were about to never see. One session I was asked how I was and after expressing I had been dizzy I was informed literally brain mets were common in my dire situation and to have a mri. I spent that entire night frozen with fear and my oncologist organised an immediate MRI I spent two whole weeks sick with fear and when my dear doctor rang burst into uncontrollable tears on her announcement my brain was perfectly fine.It turned out it was the antihistamines I had been taking for a skin reaction to a drug I was on. I knew then the depressing discussions about we had all had it and who had just bitten the bullet and had their last sunset was more detrimental to my health than support. Since one of the other members and I left the group we’ve both been a thousand times happier and healthier. It did our heads in. I would like some support but in a positive happy way because with the wonderful drugs we have these days and our ability to be healthy as we can to fight it we are all defying odds and living longer maybe even able to be that 1 lucky percent that beats stage four cancer in the world. I hope it’s me and each and everyone that has the same on here. And no one has the right to make you feel your doomed with this diagnosis. If we are told we are we may as well be. A support group should be just that. I know ladies encouragement and positivity is just what we need not people who are funded and believe they help us along to our fate and believe accepting it is supportive. Ahhhhhh not on in my opinion ......3Views1like0CommentsRe: Music to soothe your soul...or pump you up....or let out the rage...
Touché ....ladies music soothes the soul 😊 I love nothing more than cranking up Spotify through my iPhone and I have the best little Bluetooth speaker my daughter gave me as a gift, in my gym and dancing around singing. Much to my dogs well I think amusement. But wow don’t I feel happy doing a gym session and the pumping music makes me happy. The best thing about Spotify is you can choose so many different kinds of music to suit your moods or particular songs you like and best of all is free ....3Views0likes0CommentsRe: Still crying
Angelo it will get easier it did for me I am 2 years on from met diagnosis and happy and relaxed and enjoying life. I am super positive and woke up one morning and decided to never think about it again and I don’t. I met a little Thai lady early in my met journey at a little gem shop at the sunny coast which I came across searching for a crystal. I enquired to if she believed in their healing powers as I purchased one. She told me she believes in the power of ones mind and if she gave me a rock from the garden and I truly believed in the rocks ability to heal me with all I had it would. I loved this and put the crystal under my pillow and this is where it stays. But I am truly happy and don’t think about cancer any more every three weeks I make the journey for treatment and shout myself a terrific coffee and the most gorgeous carrot cake I’ve ever tasted at a little coffee shop I just adore near the hospital my 3 weekly treat so I look forward to treatment day. 😊 I am trying to tell you cry now because cancer isn’t the end unless we believe it is. The ladies on here no what I was like a bag of tears back then. But now I’m fantastic. As for the crystals well I bought my friend one from the little Thai lady as she has had a Bc diagnosis and she rang yesterday thanking me as she parked her car on a hill at woolies and left the handbrake off and when she got back it had gone. Rolled down the hill past cars people and posts and stopped before it went through a shop window the car completely undamaged she isn’t taking the crystal out of her car she told me 😊 big hugs. Research all you can try to live as heathy as you can and exercise for me this has helped enormously and is my weapon and I feel empowered I feel normal and healthy and I will never go down without a fight. Each and every person alive never knows how long they’ve got on this earth ....so enjoy everyday don’t waste a second being sad everyone with or without Bc is in the same boat xRe: Cancer spread to liver.
Dear Lorraine I have been where you are too so I can tell you stay away from google firstly. I was diagnosed with 12 large tumours in my liver in December 16. I thought wow it’s curtains for me and wallowed in self pity for ages. However 6 months down the track they had shrunk to less than half the size 6 months later to tiny and last week the mri revealed just scar tissue nothing no evidence in my liver or my spine where it was in 3 places. I’m super happy but let’s face it who knows what where but for the moment I have been told it is a complete response to treatment so I’m stoked. The moral of my story Miss L is treatment works I believe throw in a dose of healthy organic food lots filtered water no sugar and lots exercise if you feel well and it’s called hope. 😊 I do hate to say this but really be positive breast cancer is now a manageable disease. You CAN do this you’ve got it!!!!!Re: Cancer sadness?????NO!! Empty nest syndrome thank you ☺️
Hello 😀there so good to hear from you and of course once more giving me the perfect appreciated advice. How are you? Yes it’s hard but I know your right I’ll keep on concentrating on living and staying healthy. It’s just so lonely without her but as you say I’m stronger than I ever knew I was. So I will take your advice and I do hope my friend your well and happy for that is what we all want to be. 😊Cancer sadness?????NO!! Empty nest syndrome thank you ☺️
Hello lovely ladies its been a long time since I’ve logged on. I enjoyed reading all the posts over brekky this morning. I’m wonderful 2 and a half years on from my her 2 Mets and my recent mri revealed no evidence what so ever of any cancer in my liver or spine. I was shocked really considering I have been in charge of my treatment and what I wanted and didn’t want from the start. No radiation no hormone blockers chemo only once no bone strengtheners so I’m very happy I’ve moved on feel great running daily and my oncologist says a complete response to treatment mmmmmm I’m not sure this is a comment to let my guard down so I will keep up exactly daily what I do. However.... mental health with cancer fabulous problem is my adored daughter my best friend in the world running and gym partner shopping partner and general bestie suddenly found the love of her life. Mum your fine look at you moving out today 😬 eek. I underestimated how lonely and terribly sad I’d feel to the point of my heart is broken. I realise I’m sad hurt lonely and really jealous to make it worse she not only ladies moves in with him but his mother who tells me she adores my daughter and she’s the daughter she never had. Ohhhhhhhh my husband who I’m sure is quite happy because he felt left out many times is sick of my tears. Help anyone been through this. She came to treatment she had my back she told me your not going anywhere on my watch Mum. I felt so secure I know this is silly but .......I’m soooooo dam sad. Shall I kick myself up the butt. Probably. There’s far worse.
