When I worked in the Gynae Ward (dietary - providing meals) the ladies were on Full Fluids until they passed wind - only then could they go onto a light diet - so many took warm peppermint water to help the gas gurgle thru the intestines & out the nether region!! It seemed to work for them. I hope it works for you - bloating can be incredibly painful xxx - Kiwi_AngelMember@Milly21 was talking to my chiropractor today and he said peppermint can work and also said I should be taking a probiotic so might look into that too. I feel gross most of the time. At least it’s not pain like some people get but just feel very unpleasant.
- Milly21MemberI’ve been on tamoxifen 2 years and am about 4-5kg heavier, wonder what I will be by the 10 years mark😂and generally I’m doing the same as laid before tamoxifen.
- Milly21MemberMy gp suggest a magnesium tablet for constipation and that has worked well,I take tamoxifen and I must be holding water?i can stack on extra 3 kg depending on time of month and nothing helps,I feel bloated and heavy.think I need a diaretic but not sure what will work or I’m allowed to take?
- Kiwi_AngelMember@Artferret I just had some yesterday :)
- ArtferretMemberOh and you mentioned constipation somewhere else, try grapes, they work for me and they're in season!
- Kiwi_AngelMemberThanks ladies xo
- ArtferretMemberZantac is my go to, tablet form 24 hour one. My weight sometimes goes up and down like a yoyo according to how much fluid I'm retaining. Drink plenty of water too.
- Blossom1961MemberHi @Kiwi Angel Sorry I can’t answer this. Most of my natural treatments went out the window when chemo took over and I am just starting to use them again. Just like BC treatment has different SE for everybody, so natural things work differently. Peppermint, ginger, chamomile, fennel, coriander and anise are all good for any stomach issues. Hit and miss. Good luck lovely lady.
