Ummm - I had a friend who said the same thing and so as not to offend her I boiled up the leaves which had to be young leaves. There are paw paw trees growing out of peoples gutters round here so it wasn't hard to source the raw materials.Annie C said:I have just remembered a classic "You should........"
A "friend" (who I suspect has warped her brain with woopy weed) suggested that I should blend the stems and leaves of pawpaw and drink it 3 times a day! I told her it made more sense to rub the cocoction into Miss Perky. She floored me when she said that I should do that too!
I then strained it into a glass bottle put the lid on and never touched it. It stunk while I was boiling it up and tasted extremely bitter. It lasts in the fridge for 1 week. I suppose it must have been about a month later when one of my daughter's friends opens the fridge to have a swig of what she thought was ice tea, which I often make and have in the fridge. She spat it out so far and wide it took an hour to clean up!
