Haiku challenge. Your day in three lines 7-5-7

Gentle soaking flow of rain
Stronger than my tears
Slick mud a deceptive change

The tide turns and retreats
Sweet smell of decay
Still the eternal circle

Iron bars surround me now
A gate is unlocked
But that way leads to nothing.

Smoke smoulders I  must catch up
Dust and ash rises
Saved from one fire to feed another

Early hours most are sleeping
Even the cat dreams
Turn off the light until dawn.

Chemo sneaks in quietly
slips on devil horns
Snickering in the back row.
