What an amazing network. Huge thanks ♥️♥️♥️

Hi Everyone,
after some tumultuous days dealing with bony mets diagnosis, hospital rads, MRI and CT scans,mI have survived this one by the skin of my teeth. My lovely rads oncologist had a meeting with my hubby and I last night. He advise that the rads this week will kill and sterilise my bones, and it won't require structural surgery to my painting arm. He said that the bone will heal itself, so that's awesome. MRI and CT scans have shown no spread to my other organs, so I don't require chemo this time.
Im feeling very relieved, and so thankful that the outcome has been a better one this time.........frightened the hell out of me.....
What helped heaps was the overwhelming support, care and cyber cuddles from you all. This is an awesome network, with so many special and wonderful individuals who are happy to support and advise, and don't hesitate to be there for each other. You cannot quantify this support, Cuddles, cuddles, cuddles and lots of appreciation and love to you all.
Im in hospital until Friday, then have promised my daughter that I will participate in the Mothers Day Classic on Sunday, even if it is slowly........ xxxxxx
Thank you all so much, Trace

    Hey Margie,
My pain was different to the usual Arimidex side effects, aching particularly in my arm and lower back. There was also pain at the base of my neck, I originally thought that I'd slept funny but it extended across my shoulder and down my arm.
My rads oncologist said yesterday, report any new pains, as they are better to investigate pain and pick things up early, than to leave it and end up with more trouble. I will speak up in future.
Please discuss it with your oncologist if it lasts more than a week, just open up the conversation.
Sending you a cuddle, Trace xxxx
  • So pleased to hear such fantastic news tracey. It much be such a relief for you and your family. Do you mind if I ask you what prompted you to go back and see your specialist?? I know you were having some discomfort, but I have no idea what to look out for?? I have some osteo symptoms post chemo that are manageable and are relieved when I exercise etc, but how do you know if when to get concerned?? what is the difference between the bony mets pain and the osteo/post taxol etc side effects. Margie xx
