- LorraineBMember@"Patti J" @Sam09 @Pamelamary thank you for posts of HOPE. I have been living under a dark cloud since my diagnosis. This week is my last week of 'normality' so I try to make the most of it. Next week I have my heart scan and port inserted and I start my active treatment the following week.
@Sam09 I have been looking into complimentary therapies but far to much conflicting research. You are spot on. Organic food, lots filtered of water and exercise is what is needed. - kmakmMemberSo sorry to hear this news @MeganM. Welcome to the forum. While no one wants to be here, it can be a great support, source of information and even provide some laughs. As you have read many go well on the drugs that are available these days. Hang in there. Big hug, K xox
- MeganMMemberHi 10 years to the month since my first bcs diagnosis I went to a new GP for a minor unrelated issue and after running bloods tests then scans scans the Dr found 2 liaisons on the liver and 7 specs in spine and ribs. Waiting for liver biopsy then back to the oncologist next week. Very grateful to read that some of you are having such success. I really needed that hope today.
- PamelamaryMemberHi Lorraine,
I had spread to liver over 6 years ago - at the time, Dr. Google gave me 8 months. Statistics are not your story.
Regards..... Pam - poodlejulesMemberThank you @Sam09, @Patti J @angg66 for your inspiring posts , they made my day a bit brighter! B)
- Sam09MemberDear Lorraine I have been where you are too so I can tell you stay away from google firstly. I was diagnosed with 12 large tumours in my liver in December 16. I thought wow it’s curtains for me and wallowed in self pity for ages. However 6 months down the track they had shrunk to less than half the size 6 months later to tiny and last week the mri revealed just scar tissue nothing no evidence in my liver or my spine where it was in 3 places. I’m super happy but let’s face it who knows what where but for the moment I have been told it is a complete response to treatment so I’m stoked. The moral of my story Miss L is treatment works I believe throw in a dose of healthy organic food lots filtered water no sugar and lots exercise if you feel well and it’s called hope. 😊 I do hate to say this but really be positive breast cancer is now a manageable disease. You CAN do this you’ve got it!!!!!
- Patti_JMember@LorraineB. I too have liver mets. I also have bone mets. My oncologist is working towards making my cancer like a chronic illness that needs to be closely monitored.
Live each day as it comes. - arpieMemberSo sorry to hear this news @lorraineb ... as Kate and Simon have said ... there is treatment for it that will hopefully stop it, slow it or get rid of it. It worked for a friend in Zimbabwe.
Thinking of you as you await your results - LorraineBMemberWell it is confirmed, mets to liver and lower back. Tbank you all for your kind words. @simon66 I hope the new course of treatment for your wife isworkinf for her.
@angg66 thank you, your post gives me hope. I know it will take me in the end, but I would dearly alittle more time to spend making good memories with my boys
