Hormone therapy side effects and Endorphins

I read on the blog of terrible side effects many on hormone therapy endure.Three major ones seem to be depression, body aches/ pain and insomnia

Many years ago I was fascinated by a group of young blokes seemingly addicted to daily jogging. I was told exercise releases a hormone called endorphins of similar chemical structure to morphine and they enjoyed a “runners high” from jogging.I also noted their ability to deal with pressure seemed to be better possibly due to this hormone.

I also remember a friend suffering post natal depression having exercise as part of her treatment.

I have had a bit of a look today online and there is much about endorphins and their impact on these side effects.

It may not help all but it may help some to explore this option.I think my management of Letrozole is helped by daily walking for an hour.It also helps with my weight which is not entirely the result of Letrozole.

I would never have described myself as an advocate of exercise but I am now. I also found it hard starting out as the terrain near home can be steep and I was far from fit.I also had back pain but found I could walk thru it.

Just a thought.
