- JoeyLizMemberThanks everyone ☺️
Lots of floods in Hobart, my little girl was scared of the thunder so a sleepless night. Her Daycare is flooded as is my hubby’s work so they are at home. - kmakmMemberLots of good vibes emanating from here and whizzing in @JoeyLiz's direction @iserbrown!
- kezmuscMemberThanks for that @JoeyLiz,
I must have got a bit of both then. Doesn't really matter I guess as I would have proceeded anyway. A girls gotta do what she's gotta do right? Zap that thing into oblivion! Good luck with your surgery.
xoxoxo - MiraMemberI got my dots about 3 years ago and they have all but disappeared on their own. My only disappointment with the radiation tattoos was that they couldn't do them in the shape of teddy bears (yes, I asked!).
- melclarityMember@Aggie I had radiation in 2011 at 1st diagnosis, my tattoos were so minute little teeny dots, they just look like tiny freckles, in fact they cannot even be seen. I think what you experienced was something very different obviously with yours. Radiation does have alot of complications and mine was to treat DCIS back then but I still had a recurrence 4yrs later same spot :/ it aggravated a heart palpitation thing I had years before and ended up having an ablation done in 2012 but no big deal. I also had a single mastectomy/diep flap reconstruction in Feb 2017 a year post chemo and was unable to have an implant due to skin damage and fragility. I am very happy with the decisions I made regardless and I never wanted an implant, so cannot recommend a Diep flap enough :D My radiation was zero cost, I went public for this, eventhough Ive always been a private patient. I did chemo privately in 2015 however, together with surgeries and then finally though my recon in public and saved myself $10,000. Everything is relative to each person, in terms of whats a problem. Hugs Melinda xo
- iserbrownMember@JoeyLiz oh I just saw the morning news goodness lots and lots of rain in Hobart! If I remember right that is where you are from. Hope you're high and dry! We've had oodles, kept me awake, along with aching legs, but not unusual, side effect of medication, but I can't complain as goodness we needed it!
- iserbrownMemberGood nerves as good outcomes are on their way after all the pre-treatment you've gone through! Everyone on here, as they come to know you've got a surgery date, will be thinking of you and sending good vibes!
