Hi Gail... welcome to the 'club'.... this is the place you want to be.... feel free to ask any questions and vent when you need to. For me it's been 5 and a half months... with about 6 more weeks to go before the worst of it is over.
Chemo is not too bad... it can be rought but you have to do it to get well. Just take it easy and try not to do too much. Does Karla like to walk? Walking, even a little bit helped me through chemo.. my Border Collie, Charlie loves it... although I never walk far enough for him.
I'm about to start Radium (tomorrow night).. so I'll let you know how it goes. Everyone says it's easier than Chemo so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Rest and take it easy... maybe I'll see you at the Mater when I come up to have my port flushed or to see my oncologist....
