Breast Cancer Risk in Survivors of Hodgkin's Lymphoma
I discovered this resource from Hodgkin's International titled "Breast Cancer Risks For Hodgkin's Lymphoma Survivors" https://youtu.be/YRp4NLcS4Os?si=QwtFipIn5q4LGrNW At 15:22 on the video, the surgeon discusses The National Comprehensive Cancer Network clinical guideline on breast cancer screening for people who have undergone chest irradiation. This has important guidelines on when to start screening for breast cancer as well as methods of screening for breast cancer. At 17:51 on the video, the surgeon talks about The Childhood Cancer Survivor Study breast cancer risk calculator. Unlike mainstream breast cancer risk calculators, The CCSS risk calculator includes questions on previous radiotherapy treatment. I love that the surgeon provides strategies that survivors can use to advocate for themselves should they receive "push back" from medical providers.32Views0likes0CommentsUpdate on Nat SHE IS BREAST CANCER FREE

Hi all, I was diagnosed with Triple neg BC in 2010. Had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Just had my mammogram yesterday and all is clear. I am about to see a plastic surgeon tomorrow to talk about having the non op side reduced as I am very unhappy with the difference. Is there anyone else who is in the same situation asmyself?. ThankyouPagets disease vs psoriasis
Hello all. I'm back! Just out of hospital after having a nipple biopsy. Last year I had a small invasive tumour removed, followed by radiation therapy and luckily got the all clear. About 6 weeks ago I noticed scaly tender skin on my left nipple (same side as cancer). Mammograms and ultrasounds all clear (yay!) but GP referred me back to breast surgeon who said we had to rule out Paget's disease. I now have to wait a week for the results ... It's the waiting that sucks! As you all know.... However, she did say it could be psoriasis brought on by a weakened immune system due to radiation therapy. Has anyone out there experienced this? How did you treat it? (You can see I'm being upbeat and willing away Paget's) Thanks for your help Jo xmamogram
Late May13, thank god for girlfriends. My girlfriend- self appointed big sister makes the trip with me. I've had plenty of mamograms and ultrasounds by now and this appointment took 2.5 hours and lots of "just another position", "just want to check this with the radiographer", yeah I did figure out real quick that it was not good news. I was not a lot of fun on the trip home.Herceptin 5, Heart scan 3, Taxol 12, AC 4
Busy busy week and its only Wednesday! So far this week I have had a heart scan (good result) and planning session with CT scan for radiotherapy on Monday. Herceptin 5 on Tuesday (so different without the Taxol, no pre-meds or tiredness). Surgeon checkup (2nd ever mammogram and ultrasound in early November) and Workcover Dr appointment today Wednesday. To say I'm tired is an understatement. The planning session was very different to what I've gotten used to with chemo. Two male radiographers who whilst being very professional in doing their measurements and placing me just so on the table made me feel vulnerable at times; as I was topless for almost an hour with my arms above my head. Had the tattoo dots and must admit after all the needles at chemo, meh, didn't hurt. So have a start date for radiotherapy: 29/7/13 for six weeks.Karla and me
