HOT STUFF!!!

After 23 radiation treatments my boob is SOOO hot & not quite throbbing. Lathering the MooGoo on, even keeping it cold in the fridge - the MooGoo, not my boob, though that would really help ?? I'm taking Panadol & using ice packs but not getting much relief. Does anyone have suggestions? I still have 7 treatments to go ??

  • Thanks MONA, wonder if I could pay some one with a brush....... Maybe distraction therapy would work? Just entering my last week, glad to know it gets better quickly ??

  • Hi Tracey, I am now 5 weeks out of Rads, I learned pretty early on NOT to put anything on my boobs till I got some of the heat out, otherwise it felt like I was FRYING ..... I went bare round the house as often as I could and always used loads of Manooka Honey on my weekends off ( honey can leave a film which can mess up dose ) and the minute Rads finished it was honey all the way , can't tell you the relief it, and cold cold face cloths gave me, I was burnt pretty bad one side but as soon as it started to peel ( like a suntan ) it was perfect underneath from the honey , and now my boobs look like they have never seen trauma, not sure what to do with my mind tho , that really has been traumatised ?? lol at putting your boob in fridge , I have 32AA, ( probably smaller now ) they wouldn't even get a blast of cool air ! Too far away ! Good luck with it , you nearly there sweetie , hang in , 4 weeks time you will be fine

  • My suggestions

Topless reading magazines although not on the bus

solugel : I got quite a deep split and within 24 hours it had joined up.

Nurses made me a vest from gauze and applied liberal amounts solugel.  Great to know if it gets worse than suddenly you get daily dressings : plus they apply the gel with a little brush: there are people who would pay good money for this!

know that it peaks, wasn't actually painful and then quickly gets better. Worst was the last week of treatment and the week after but then gets better and quickly
